Group Classes

Our six-week group class program is an affordable, effective and fun way to train your dog.

This basic obedience program is perfect for new puppies who need to get started on the right paw, or older dogs who have never had any formal training. Our instructor, Seth Payne, will work with you in a group setting, and will also interact with you one-on-one during the sessions to ensure you and your dog are making the progress you desire.

Teaching your dog these basic commands is an essential way to bring control and stability to your relationship with them – whether it’s controlling them within your home, or when taking them out on walks. Dogs aren’t born with the innate knowledge to perform any commands, so we have to work to teach them how to perform these common behaviors. A group class environment is a relaxed and affordable way to teach your dog the fundamentals of good behavior.

By the end of our program, you should be confident and assured when handling your dog in public, and they should understand how to perform all basic obedience commands. Our Payne K9 group classes are an excellent way to start building the strong relationship you have always craved with your pup!

What will you learn?

Building a strong relationship with your dog is about far more than just simply getting them to sit for you – which is why we go one step further than just helping you to teach your dog these obedience commands.

We actually teach you about how dogs learn, and how you can problem-solve troublesome behaviors in the future. This information gives you valuable insight you can utilize in the future to ensure your dog’s behavior remains in optimum shape.

We will tell you about the importance of physical and mental stimulation to reduce the likelihood of your dog becoming restless or destructive. We will also talk about the role of training tools such as prong collars or E-collars and how to use them correctly (if you wish to understand more about them).

Importantly, we will talk about the crucial role of socialization in your dog’s behavior – and how to socialize your dog correctly. Our final lesson will take place in a nearby public setting (such as a downtown area or public park), so you and your dog can demonstrate your new skills around numerous distractions.
